Iris repair after successful posttraumatic repair of the eyeball should be considered in all cases where either the esthetical or functional results can be improved. Different options are available nowadays to correct for iris defects including: corneal tatooing, printed contact lenses and artificial iris. This course will focus on printed contact lenses, iris repair in eyes presenting different degrees of loss of iris tissue comprising iris suturing techniques and artificial iris implantation.
