| Purpose | The choice of visual field examination depend on the patient and the purpose of the examination. Every visual field test require the cooperation of the patient. The most primitive test is the confrontation field test. The Amsler grid is often used in daily practice and evaluates quickly the central 10° of vision. The Goldmann perimeter is an important tool in the low vision clinic. The results of the kinetic perimetry translate the quality of functional vision: V/4,V/1,III/1,II/1. Each isopter has its significance. Finally we focus on automated static, computer-assisted perimetry that allow detailed analysis of the visual field. |
