ICC-2: Why and when to perform a Primary Posterior Capsulorhexis

Advance course

This course is a pre-requisite to Wetlab 2

Performing a Primary Posterior Circular and Continuous Capsulorhexis (PPCCC) has been considered for long time as an act to be performed only in special indications e.g. in paediatric cataract and posterior capsule plaques.
Since the advent of the bag-in-the-lens implantation technique, PPCCC has been used as  a routine in all cataract cases in order to properly implant the BIL which has resulted in complete erradication PCO. This course will focus on how to peform easily a reproducible PPCCC.
