TitreMean flap thickness after laser in-situ keratomileusis with new femtosecond laser.
Abstract Nr.1024
ButTo analyse the thickness of the LASIK-flap after femtosecond laser surgery and to compare these measurements with the intendedmean thickness of 125µmas provided by the manufactures settings.
MéthodesWe performed a database prospective study to verify intended thickness and standard deviation from the intended thickness. Fifteen patients (30eyes) were enrolled. The procedure was performed with an LenSx® femtosecond Laser. We analysed the thickness of the LASIK flap fourteen days to one month after the procedure with an OCT of the anterior segment. On the OCT we analysed a section of 2mm in length of the anterior segment and measured the thickness at 0.5mm, 1mm and 1.5mm from the apex. Outgoing from these results, we calculated an average flap thickness.
RésultatsFourteen days to one month results will be presented and compared with previous publications.
ConclusionWe can conclude that the LenSx®femto flap procedure is safe and originated reproducible flaps with the intended thickness.
