Some glaucoma patients have further visual field loss even with controlled IOP. Lately attention has emerged on new treatment strategies. Neuroprotection is a promising research field in glaucoma therapy. Many categories of natural and synthetic compounds have been reported to be neuroprotective (Memantine, Betaxolol, Brimonidine, Dorzolamid, wine, Gingko, lipids).This interactive course will focus on the action pathways of these substances. Emphasis is aimed on safely use.
