TitelClear Lens Extraction with Multifocal Apodized Diffractive Intraocular Lens Implantation
Abstract Nr.344
DoelTo assess efficacy, safety, predictability, and stability after clear lens extraction (CLE) with multifocal diffractive intraocular lens (IOL) implantation
MethodesUncorrected distance visual acuity (VA), best-corrected distance VA, uncorrected distance near VA, and best distance-corrected near VA were recorded preoperatively and 6 months after surgery.
Resultaten68 eyes from 36 patients underwent surgery, 36 right eyes, 32 left eyes. >90% of patients did not use any spectacles any more after surgery, not for far nor for near. Accuracy of the different IOL formulas will be discussed. Mean percentages of spectacle independance for far and near will be given. Subjective patients satisfaction rates were very high. No explantations were necessary.
ConclusieClear lens extraction with multifocal Apodized Diffractive IOL implantation is an effective procedure for correcting ametropia and presbyopia
