DoelTo compare the intraocular chamber stability and operative metrics when using the torsional ultasound modality (Ozil) with two Fluid Management Systems (classical and new Intrepid FMS) during microcoaxial (2.2mm) phacoemulsification.
MethodesSixty cataract patients divided into two groups. Group A : 30 patients with Intrepid FMS . Group B: 30 patients with classical FMS. The study tracks the following parameters: CDE, aspiration time, BSS use during phaco, pre and post operative pachymetry and BCVA and bottle height.
ConclusieThe new Intrepid FMS with more rigid tubing helps to suppress the surge with a lower bottle height.
