| Conclusie | There are no well determined guidelines for low vision aids for children. The approach is individual. Different aspects need to be taken into account : f.i. the age, the extend of the disability, the personality of the child....We first aim to facilitate the environment before prescribing low vision aids. The low vision assessment of children consists of several aspects : measurement of visual potential,estimation of the child's personal capabilities, integration of other observations : at home, at school.. |
