| Doel | The “Treat and Extend” regimen (TER) was introduced to place the issue of monthly follow-ups, as a new and better approach for individualized patient care. Our study attempts to assess the change of the VA when using the TER. |
| Methodes | Between March 2013 and June 2016, 27 patients with neovascular AMD at Western Eye Hospital in London were included in the retrospective study. The inclusion criterion was: exudative AMD treated with Rnibizumab and with a minimal follow up of six months. We excluded patients who had treatment with other anti-VEGF, patients on PRN protocol were excluded from the study as well. Best-corrected visual acuity was collected at each visit and converted into logMAR unit, and CRT was recorded for each visit in which an OCT was used. |
| Resultaten | Twenty seven patients naïve exudatine AMD patients met the inclusion criteria and were recruited in this study Among the treated eyes included in this analysis, 41% experienced a significant VA gain of 15 ETDRS letters or more, 7% had a significant VA loss of 15 ETDRS letters or more and 52% obtained VA stabilization. |
