| Titel | The Association of Crystalline Keratopathy and Intraocular Inflammation in IgG Monoclonal Gammopathy: A Case Report |
| Abstract Nr. | 119 |
| Doel | Corneal immunoglobulin deposits are an unusual presentation of lymphoproliferative disorders such as monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance, essential cryoglobulinemia and multiple myeloma. |
| Methodes | A 51-year old Caucasian female presented with a bilateral crystalline keratopathy and unilateral right anterior uveitis. At the time of presentation she had no general clinical symptoms. |
| Resultaten | The diagnosis of monoclonal gammopathy was suspected and confirmed by electrophoresis. With local steroids for several weeks, a good clinical response was obtained with complete resolution of the anterior uveitis. However, the corneal deposits remain unchanged after one year of follow-up. The visual acuity remains 10/10 in both eyes without any treatment. |
| Conclusie | A lymphoproliferative disorder has to be taken into consideration in cases with a combination of corneal deposits and intraocular inflammation. |
