ICC-F1: Low vision aids: a hands-on experience

A variety of low vision aids currently available for blind and visually impaired persons will be presented. The authors will explain the use of the low vision aids and their advantages and disadvantages. Portable and desktop video magnifiers, screen reading and magnification software, braille and speech products, Daisy books, scanning devices, and other comparable products will be explained . Ample opportunity will be given to try out all aids with or without - transient - visual pathology.
