Méthodes	The study evaluates 300 eyes that underwent refractive surgery with the Bausch and Lomb Zyoptix 100 excimer laser. All eyes were treated with surface laser ablation
Résultats	Larger optical zones don't always give a better ablation profile compared to smaller zones
Conclusion	The study makes an evaluation of the optimized optical zone considering minimized loss of tissue and adequate laser treatment to reduce postoperative spherical aberration
