| Titre | Evaluation of the new Alcon- Intrepid FMS for microcoaxial phacoemulsification |
| Abstract Nr. | 232 |
| But | To compare the intraocular chamber stability and operative metrics when using the torsional ultasound modality (Ozil) with two Fluid Management Systems (classical and new Intrepid FMS) during microcoaxial (2.2mm) phacoemulsification. |
| Méthodes | Sixty cataract patients divided into two groups. Group A : 30 patients with Intrepid FMS . Group B: 30 patients with classical FMS. The study tracks the following parameters: CDE, aspiration time, BSS use during phaco, pre and post operative pachymetry and BCVA and bottle height. |
| Conclusion | The new Intrepid FMS with more rigid tubing helps to suppress the surge with a lower bottle height. |
