TitreOcular alignment after BIL implantation
Abstract Nr.304
ButTo describe clinical results after bag-in-the-lens (BIL) implantation which lens centration is surgeon-controlled.
MéthodesThe BIL implantation, primarily designed to avoid PCO, includes a very important surgical degree of freedom consisting in the alignment of the BIL using the purkinje reflexes of the light sources of the surgical microscope.
RésultatsBased on the post-mortem images (MRI and histology), centration by using the caliper ring and the Purkinje reflexes, is an interesting surgical approach.
ConclusionSurgeon-controlled BIL aims at optimizing patient's quality of vision, more specifically when implementing toric, aspherical or multifocal correction in the IOL optic.
