Titre	Refractive Lensectomy using the Tecnis Diffractive Lens in Hyperopia

But	To study the Clinical outcomes and Optical quality after implantation of the Aspheric Tecnis Multifocal diffractive IOL in Hyperopic eyes
Méthodes	The optical performance of the IOL was studied for varying pupil sizes in a physiological model. Thirty hyperopic eyes (mean age 51+/- 7 years)with medium to high hyperopia(mean sf.eq.+4,5D.+/-1,6)implanted with the Iol were analysed at 1and 3 months .
Résultats	Results:1. The multifocal Tecnis IOL that is corrected for the spherical aberration of the cornea showed two clearly defined focal points and MTF figures that are independent of pupil size.2.With eventual distance correction only, all eyes could read J1.Without eventual distance correction all eyes ,except three, could read J1.The preferred reading distance was 34 cm. At intermediate distance (50cm) all but 5 eyes could read J3 with eventual distance correction. The Distant Ucva improved from 0,2(+/-0,16) before to 0,8(+/-0,12)after surgery. No important side effects were noticed :3 eyes had minor visual complaints. Six eyes gained 2 lines. No patient needed reading glasses.
Conclusion	1.The optical performance of the Tecnis Multifocal IOL is stable for all pupil sizes.2.The Tecnis is an excellent IOL for Refractive Lensectomy in Hyperopia .
