| Titre | Relation between chord µ and ocular sensory dominance and ocular motor dominance in healthy patient (a pilot study) |
| But | To evaluate the relation between chord µ distance and the ocular dominance. Chord µ distance is the linear distance between pupille center and corneal vertex. It is a measured similar to Kappa angle measurement |
| Méthodes | On healthy patients, we evaluated ocular sensory and motor dominance using different tests including blur test, eye rivalry test (using a synoptophore) and the hole-in-the-card vision test. We evaluated chord µ of each eye using Pentacam AXL (Oculus). We then evaluated the relation between the chord µ amplitude and the ocular dominance. |
| Résultats | We evaluate 50 patients. Chord µ was significantly lower in the dominant eye using a paired test (0.24+/-0.15mm in dominant eye, 0.27+/-0.16mm in non dominant eye, p<0.05). |
| Conclusion | Our study showed a significantly lower chord µ distance in dominant eye. It could be usefull to identify ocular dominance in case of ocular pathology decreasing vision of the eyes. |
