Title	Refractive outcome after implantation of an apodized diffractive intraocular lens (Acrysof ReSTOR, ALCON)
Abstract Nr.	332

Purpose	To evaluate the objective and subjective results after cataract surgery with implantation of an acrylic diffractive multifocal intraocular lens (ReSTOR).
Methods	Eyes from eligible patients underwent phacoemulsification with implantation of the Acrysof Restor lens. Uncorrected (UCVA) and best corrected visual acuities (BCVA), and patient satisfaction were measured in all patients.
Results	Preliminary results of 111 eyes from 69 patients (42 bilateral) were the followings: Mean uncorrected distance visual acuity was 0.85 Mean uncorrected near visual acuity was 0,93 Overall satisfaction was rated ≥ 8/10 in ninety two percent of the patients Haloes ratios were also evaluated.
Conclusion	Preliminary results suggest that the Acrysof Restor provides very good and very satisfaying near and distance vision.
