Title

ARTIFLEX phakic IOL and Visante OCT

Purpose	To discuss our results with the Artiflex Lens and the first results of the study with the Toric Artiflex and how the Visante OCT can help us to obtain better results.
Methods	My paper will cover our 5 years of experience with the Artiflex lens and the first results of the Multicenter Study with the Toric Artiflex. With the VISANTE OCT we can verify the movements of the iris and Artisan Lens and check that the spaces in the anterior chamber created by the Artisan lens are sufficient enough. In this way we ensure that one of the major indications for an Artisan/Artiflex Lens Implantation is respected.
Results	As the Artisan lens, the Artiflex proves to be a safe and stable solution for the correction of myopia, with less induced astigmatism and faster rehabilitation. The Toric Artiflex, for the correction of myopia en astigmatism, also has very promising results. With the Visante OCT, we can increase the indications for Artiflex implantation. This device gives us a clear view of the anterior chamber and therefore aids us in patient selection.
Conclusion	After the Artisan lens, the Artiflex proves to be a safe technique for the correction of high myopia, and the Toric Artiflex, for the correction of myopia and astigmatism, also has promising results. With the Visante OCT we can ensure that one of the major indications for an Artisan/Artiflex Lens Implantation is respected and this gives us excellent results.
