TitleUtility of QuantiFERON TB Gold in ocular TB
PurposeTo report the usefulness of QuantiFERON TB Gold test in the diagnosis of Ocular Tuberculosis
MethodsSingle case report.
QuantiFERON TB Gold test will be described.
ResultsA 25 year old 6 months pregnant indian woman presents with a few days history of loss of visual acuity in one eye.
Her differentials and work up will be exposed, as well as the evolution under anti-tuberculous therapy once QuantiFERON TB Gold came back positive.
ConclusionGamma interferon release assays as QuantiFERON TB Gold could play an important role in the diagnosis of Ocular Tuberculosis.
