Title	Combined Hyperopic Presbyopic treatments: Technique, Results & Theory
Abstract Nr.	131

Purpose	To correct presbyopia in hyperopic eyes by LASEK
Methods	LASEK was performed with the broad beam Gaussian excimer laser of InPro on 20 eyes of 10 patients. 12 ablation zones of 3,5mm diameter were performed around a central ablation free zone of 3mm. For the four inferior ablation zones, 2 diopter was added.
Results	Mean age was 50,2 year (range 44-59)Mean pre-operative refraction was +2,9D+:-1,3D. Post operative uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA) was 0,9 (range0.7-1.0). All patients could read Parinaud 2,40% of the cases could read Parinaud1.
Conclusion	Adding a supplementary eccentric ablation of 2 dioters in the inferior quadrant gives a good presbyopic correction. No side effects such as monocular dipolpia were noticed.
