ICC - T10: Visual field: Progression, Tips and Pitfalls

An unacceptable number of glaucoma patients become visually impaired or even blind while under care. Several factors including over-reliance on intraocular pressure (IOP) to measure treatment adequacy could contribute to this finding. Assessment of visual field damage is the major index of the functional impact of glaucoma. Its measurement is the cornerstone of glaucoma management influencing therapeutic decisions. The objective of this workshop is to provide practical recommendations for assessing rate of visual field progressing and for determining the required frequency of examinations to avoid visual impairment. Additionally, interactive training will be provided with tips and pitfalls on visual field interpretation using clinical cases.
